MoCoDaily elected to cover the game featuring, the Cougars of Quince Orchard High School vs the Eagles of North Point High School Boys Varsity Football at Navy-Marines Stadium in Annapolis Maryland, on Friday November 30th, 2018.

1st Quarter

With the start of the game Quince Orchard Cougars kicks off. With the 1st big play of the North Point Eagles #10 catches a pass 60 plus yard gain, putting the ball on the Cougars 13 yard line. The Eagles #4 Malik Lawrence getting a 1st down and getting the ball down the Cougars 3 yard line. The Eagles score with a short pass to #4 Malik Lawrence, the extra point is blocked. Setting the score at North Point 6 Quince Orchard 0 with 9:56 left in the 1st. On the ensuing kick off, Cougars #2 Charles Bell returns it for 24 yards, The Cougars are moving the ball in the air and on the ground.

Cougars #26 Ryan Jones picks up around 20 yards on a short pass, putting the ball on the Eagles 20 yard line. After the Eagles get a face mask penalty, Cougars has the ball near the goal line, #14 Brian Plummer, does a keeper for the score, the extra point was blocked, setting the score a North Point 6 Quince Orchard 6 with just about 3 minutes left in the 1st. The Eagles on a 3rd and 14 from around the Cougars 30 yard line, scores on a short pass to #4 Malik Lawrence, with the extra point being good, setting the score at North Point 13 Quince Orchard 6 with a few seconds left in the 1st. So far Cougars #42 Demioian Robinson and #58 Dante Thompson are getting lots of penetration in the Eagles backfield.

2nd Quarter

Starting the 2nd, Cougars ball, they thrown and rushed to get across mid field, Cougars #14 Brian Plummer, has to come out for a equipment violation. #18 Eric Wong has to come in for a play. Cougars #6 Tre Wade catches a pass and picks up about 20 yards, #15 Marquez Cooper is picking up several yards on each of his carries. Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper scores on a 1 yard run up the middle, the extra point is good, setting the score a North Point 13 Quince Orchard 13 with 6:20 left in the 2nd. The Eagles on a 3rd and 6 pass to #8 for a 15 yard, for a quick and important 1st down. The Eagles has now come to a 4th and 1, and punt, giving the Cougars on their own 25 yard line after a penalty.

Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper picks up 41 yards on a run up the center, then #20 Jeremiah White picks up 15 on a run. Cougars #9 Max Bernard scores on a 18 yard pass, the extra point is good, setting the score at Quince Orchard 20 North Point 13 with just over a minute left in the 2nd. The Eagles is near the own goal line and have gotten 2 false start penalties in a row. The Eagles let the clock run out to enter halftime. Score at halftime is Quince Orchard 20 North Point 13.

In the 1st half, Eagles QB #7 Asa Williams is 8 of 11 for 161 yards and two Touchdowns, Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper has 127 rushing yards and a Touchdown on 21 carries.

3rd Quarter

The Eagles start the 2nd half kicking off, Cougars #44 John Hodges returns it for about 15 yards putting the ball at midfield. Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper has picked up back to back 1st downs getting down near the Eagles 23 yard line then gets 8 yards on the next play. The Cougars are now on 4th and 2 from the 16 yard line, #15 Marquez Cooper picks up the 1st down. Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper scores on a 12 yard run, the extra point is no good, the ball hit the upright, setting the score at Quince Orchard 26 North Point 13 with 9:00 left in the 3rd. The Eagles #5 returns the kick off 46 yards getting to Cougars territory.

The Eagles have another high snap and come to 4th and 2, they line up and go for it and connects Eagles #5 for the 1st down. Eagle #7 Asa Williams drops the ball and Cougars #88 Kevon Carter-Hackey picks it up and returns it for a 62 yard touchdown, the extra point is good, setting the score at Quince Orchard 33 North Point 13 with around 7 minutes left in the 3rd. Eagles #8 catches a pass for a 35 yard gain, putting the ball around the Cougars 38 yard line. The Eagles have moved the ball deep into Cougars territory, The Cougars gets a unsportsmanlike penalty, now Eagles are in the Cougars red zone. The Eagles on a 4th down do a reverse and pass to 2 open players in the end zone, but come up short with a incomplete pass.

The Eagles holds the Cougars to their own 13 yard line and on 4th and 1, the Cougars are forced to punt. Giving the ball to the Eagles near midfield. The Eagles are going for it on 4th and 8 and connects with #4 Malik Lawrence for a touchdown on a 38 yard pass, the extra point is good, setting the score a Quince Orchard 33 North Point 19 with 20 seconds left in the 3rd.

4th Quarter

Starting the 4th quarter, Cougars #45 Tajon Moore picks up around 50 yards on a pass, putting the down on the goal line, only to be called back on a ineligible lineman down field, this penalty takes the Cougars back to their own, 38 yard line. On 3rd and 13 Cougars #81 Brendan McGonagle is taken down in the backfield, forcing the Cougars to punt. The Eagles the ball on own 32 yard line. They are moving the ball with passes and runs. Eagles #32 picks up a 1st down on a short run. Following up with Eagles #27 Caelen Carson score on a 37 yard pass, the extra point is good, setting the score at Quince Orchard 33 North Point 26 with 5:47 left in the game. Cougars are moving the ball and running the clock down. Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper is pounding yardage with each carry.

Cougars are now into Eagles territory. Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper picks up around 20 going down the sidelines. Cougars #15 Marquez Cooper scores on a short runs, the extra point is good, setting the score at Quince Orchard 40 North Point 26 with around 2 minutes left in the game. The Eagles are now down to the Cougars 15 yard line with 40 seconds remaining. The Cougars get a holding call and give the Eagles the ball in the red zone. The Eagles #7 Asa Williams does a keeper and scores, the extra point is good, setting the score at Quince Orchard 40, North Point 33 with 20 seconds remaining. North Point attempts a on sides kick and it is recovered by Cougars #44 John Hodges. The Cougars take a knee to end the game.

MoCoDaily elected to cover the game featuring, the Cougars of Quince Orchard High School vs the Pumas of Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School Boys Varsity Football at Quince Orchard HS, on Friday November 23rd, 2018.

1st Quarter

Quince Orchard Cougars starts the game with a kickoff that is fumbled by the Wise Pumas, with the Cougars recovering it on the Pumas 17 yard line. The Cougars come up short and are forced to kick a field goal to get on the board first. The score is Cougars 3 Pumas 0 with 10:34 left in the 1st. The Pumas go 3 and out and punts, giving the Cougars the ball on the own 43 yard line.

The Cougars score on a 1 yard keeper by #14 Brian Plummer, with the extra point being good, setting the score at Cougars 10 Pumas 0 with 2:42 left in the 1st. The Pumas are having trouble moving the ball and are forced to punt, Cougars take over on the own 30 yard line. At the end of the 1st score Cougars 10 Pumas 0

2nd Quarter

With the 2nd quarter starting, Cougars have to punt after a 15 yard penalty, allowing the Pumas to take over on their own 45 yard line. The Pumas score with a pass, the extra point is blocked, setting the score at Cougars 10 Pumas 6 with 7:12 left in the 2nd.

Cougars get to the 1 yard line with a huge screen play, #15 Marquez Cooper scores a touchdown on the one yard run. The extra point is good, setting the score Cougars 17 Pumas 6 with 2:29 left in the 2nd. At the end of the 2nd score Cougars 17 Pumas 6.

3rd Quarter

The Cougars start the 3rd by going 3 and out, letting the Pumas take over on their own 49 yard line. #2 Charles Bell intercepts a Pumas pass and takes it 85 yards for a touchdown, the extra point is good, setting the score at Cougars 24 Pumas 7 with 8:31 left in the 3rd.

Pumas convert a huge 4th and 10, and end up turning it over on the next set of downs, Cougars take over on the own 26 yard line. At the end of the 3rd score Cougars 24 Pumas 6

4th Quarter

The Cougars score next with a pass to #44 John Hodges, with the extra point being good, setting the score at Cougars 31 Pumas 6, with 11:53 left in the 4th. The Pumas end up having to punt, giving the Cougars, the ball on their own 12 yard line. The Cougars are in control and are moving the ball down field running the clock out.

As the Cougars are heading down field, they are also heading to Annapolis for the 4A State Finals.
