The recent traumatic neck injury of Georgetown linebacker Tyrell Williams, who had been a starter on Quince Orchard’s varsity offense from 2010 – 2012, was foremost on the minds of many in attendance. The crowd was informed that Williams and his family were grateful for and deeply moved by all the community support as they face daunting challenges of a long recovery ahead. When asked for an update, QO head coach John Kelley optimistically noted “Tyrell seems to be getting better and better every day.”
