The 2 and 4 Colonels of Magruder HS traveled to play the 1 and 5 Trojans of Gaithersburg HS. Colonels are set to kick at the opening of the game and Gaithersburg fumbles allowing Magruder to recover and start near mid field. They end up going turning the ball over on a failed 4th and 10 conversion. Trojans #9 scores on a 34 yd pass with the extra point being good with 3 minutes left in the 1st quarter, score Gaithersburg 7-0. With 1:02 left in the half, Gaithersburg gets a 6 yd touchdown, and completes the extra point, score going into halftime Gaithersburg 14 Magruder 0.
In the second half it looked as if the Colonels were starting to move the ball and march down field, even getting to the goal line, but could not get it in the end zone. The final score of the game came on a rough snap on Gaithersburg going into and out of the end zone giving Magruder a safety, with 11:09 left in the 4th.
