Tonight was the set to be the top game in Montgomery County, featuring the Panthers of Paint Branch HS vs the Jaguars of Northwest HS. The Panthers are set to receive the kick off to start the game, the Jaguars recover the kick off, and have difficulty moving the ball and end up turning it over on a 4th and 20. The Panthers have trouble moving the ball and end up giving it back to the Jaguars, With 8:41 left in the 1st qtr. #23 EJ Lee scores on a 3 yd run and #23 EJ Lee completes the 2 point conversion, Score Northwest 8 Paint Branch 0. Paint Branch moves the ball a little and end up punting from their 27 giving the Jaguars the ball on the Panthers 46 yard line. This sets up the second touchdown of the game on a short pass from #11 Mark Pierce to #9 Brandon Williams, the ensuing extra point was good, score 15-0 with :52 seconds left in the 1st.
Starting the 2nd quarter, Northwest come up on a 4th down ready to punt, and fake the punt with a pass, to #23 EJ Lee, who scores a 68 yard touchdown for the third touchdown of the game, extra point good, score now 22-0 with 10:48 left in the 2nd quarter. Paint Branch fumbles on their 20 yard line, recovered by Jaguars #33 Chuck Anya and sets up the Jags on the 5 yard line. Jags #9 Brandon Williams catches a 5 yard pass for a touchdown, the extra point was blocked, score 28-0. Northwest #26 Tyrell Richardson recovers an onside kick on the Paint Branch 44 yard line. The Jags start moving the ball and end up throwing an interception, to Panthers #1 on their 21 yard line with 1/2 minute left in the 1st half. Going into halftime the score is Northwest 35-0 Paint Branch.
Paint Branch comes out looking to start playing by recovering an on side kick, and move the ball down to the 3 yard line, Panthers #6 scores on a short run and they go for a 2 point conversion falls short, Northwest 35-6 with 6:56 left in the 3rd quarter. With 5:18 left in the 3rd quarter the Jaguars #2 Martin Foray catches a pass for 60 yards and scores, the extra point was good Northwest 42 Paint Branch 6.
During the 4th quarter, Jaguars #1 Jamar Wilson scores on a 60 yard pass run, extra point being good leading to the final score.
