The 2014 Gaithersburg Trojans Varsity Baseball Team continued their dominance through their first five games. Pitching has been the key to the Trojans success, against Damascus on Saturday a 13-3 victory, Sophomore Anthony Felitti pitched four scoreless innings giving up only 1 hit and striking out eight. The Trojans offense scored four runs in the 2nd inning on a pair of triples by Jake Thomas and Nick Pantos sandwiched between a Nick DeCarlo sacrifice fly. The Trojans blew it open in the third on a Gran Slam Home Run by Nick DeCarlo his first career high school home run. Damascus scored three runs in the 5th inning to extend the game but the Trojans closed it out in the bottom of the fifth. It was the first time in five games that Gaithersburg had surrender an earned run.
