The Gaithersburg Trojans traveled to Northwest HS, to play basketball on a cold windy night. Both teams are playing extraordinary well, The Trojans are forcing turnovers, getting blocks and steals, but are only finishing 75% of the time, allowing the Jaguars to keep up in the first quarter. Jaguars 18 Trojans 21.
The Trojans continue with their fast energetic paced offense and defense. The Jaguars 2-3 defense slowed the Trojans some. Midway through the 2nd quarter #5 Reagan Zamena tied the game showing the Jaguars still had some fight in them. Going into halftime the score was 40-37 Jaguars.
Starting the second half, the game gotten a little more aggressive, and about 5 mins into it, it got more pushy and physical. Trojans put in their secret weapon The Blocking Machine #50 Masangu Mbayo 6″7 to out height the Jaguars. Score 57-54 Northwest.
Within first few minutes in the 4th The Trojans scored 11 point to Jaguars 2 points. Towards the last 2 final mins the Trojans hit back to back 3 pulling away from the Jaguars. Trojans is out hustling Northwest making steals and big blocks finishing also at the rim. Ending the game with a big lead.
