Blake Boys Victorious of the Damascus Hornets

The Damascus Hornets hosted a double-header Wednesday night, against the Blake Bengals. It was the Damascus Hornets senior night for Basketball, Poms and Cheerleading. Leading off the doubleheader the guys came ready to play and make a statement knowing that it was senior night for a few of them. Early in the first the Bengals came out on a 20-6 run punishing the Hornets on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The Hornets start to fly their way back in the game with strong play by the 6’4 junior Rashard Budd and their point guard.

Going into halftime the game is still anybody’s and it’s up for grabs. At the opening of the third quarter the Hornets get right to it scoring tough buckets in transition and playing strong defense but the Bengals will not fall off they continued to use their athleticism and speed as the way to beat the Hornets and their strategy continued to work through the remained of the game.
