The Wolverines entered the game trying to rebound from a loss to the rival Coyotes that ended there hot win streak. Early on in the first quarter the Wolverines were pretty much step for step with the Trojans. Both teams were even in mistakes and both teams were tight on the scoreboard. It looked as if neither team had full control of this game.
Opening the second half when the game started to get really intense with both teams scoring back to back, Tyvon Grant Junior Guard at Watkins Mill led his team all the way up to the end of the regulation period. Going into overtime the Rines had plenty of opportunity in overtime. Turnovers seemed to hurt both teams up until the end of overtime, but with 17.6 seconds left the Trojans hit two clutch free throws to down the Rines
