Poolesville girls comes away with another win

The Screaming Eagle Ladies and Lady Falcons get off to an early tight game, both teams were attacking the basket early and finishing at the free throw line. Early in the 2nd quarter Poolesville lady’s take command on the defensive and offensive side of the ball piling on points and snatching offensive rebounds . The Eagles hold the game close by consistently getting to the free throw line. The Falcons seem to be getting better as the game goes on and seem to be quick for the Eagles. Going into halftime Poolesville lead by ten 30-20. Both teams came out in the second half kind of slow only getting points at the free throw line.The Lady Falcons continue to extend their lead. #24 Lindsay Poss continues to impress the game, when she’s not scoring she’s play outstanding defense. As the 3rd quarter closes the Falcons are making this a completely one-sided game with a 43-28 lead. Entering the 4th quarter the Falcons continue to dominate the Eagles offensively and defensively. 4th quarter comes to a close.

Poolesville Falcons Head Coach Fred Swick Says “we had a real balanced scoring from a lot of different players, team wise it was our best game, some nights we’ve had 2 or 3 players play pretty well, I thought tonight all that came off the bench played very well, some of the starters scored better than they usually score, I was very pleased with the win.”

Seneca Valley Eagles Head Coach Todd Bumgardner: Says “I feel pretty good, we did a lot of things well, we just had our worst shooting night probably of the season, their defense had a lot to do with that, we missed a lot of shots that we almost made, we shot 25% in front of the free throw line”
