Damascus came to Watkins Mill this evening with an agenda, an easy win against the Wolverines Two of starting Hornets #10 Deandre Jolly and #11 Rashard Budd are playing against their former teammates. The Wolverines are still trying to get their first win of the season, this might be their night.
From the start of the first quarter Watkins Mill comes out on fire #2 Jeff Adarkwa makes a couple of 3 pointers, in the row to help increase the Wolverines lead over the Hornets. Score 17-7 Watkins Mill. Based on the led the Wolverines are heading into the 2nd quarter with a good lead and playing as a team.
At the end of half its 31-25 Watkins Mill, the Wolverines are playing some of the best they have played all season. #2 Jeff Adarkwa had 14 points in the first half leading the team with points. #23 Jack Rogers had 6 points in the first half also leading his team with points.
Halftime show was performed by the Watkins Mill Poms, which put on a great performance as always.
End of the 3rd it’s 57-38 Watkins Mill, the Wolverines are just adding points to their lead which is staying about 20 points up. #23 Torez Rhea, #15 Tyvon Grant are also helping sweep the Hornets. The Wolverines get their first win of the season with a final score of 70-52.
