Start of the 3rd quarter Watkins Mill comes out with fire grabbing rebounds and playing tight defense. #5 Alex Sotomayor had 5 rebounds in the 3rd. At the end #42 had 16 points, 4 rebounds. Score 51-53.
In the 4th it was intense both Richard Montgomery and Watkins Mill was battling for points to have the lead #15 Tyvon Grant had 2 great steals in crunch time of the game to help put the score to 66-69 Rocket. With 15.6 seconds lift in the game #15 Tyvon Grant makes a 3 pointer with a foul and tied the game. Then the Rockets give it to the big scorer #42 Justin Senou who drives and makes the lay up with 1.5 seconds left to end the game 70-72 Rockets WM 0-2 RM 2-0
Richard Montgomery Coach Scott Spear plans coming in to this game was to “contain Grant and to stop their fast breaks”.
Watkins Mill Coach Jay Tringone felt that his team “played with a higher energy and shared the ball”. Overall Coach Tringone said “this was a really good high school basketball game”.
